Last night on Monday Night Raw, Kalisto won the Slammy Award for the “OMG Shocking Moment of the Year”. It happened recently, so you should remember “TLC” when Kalisto performed a “Salida Del Sol” on Jimmy Uso from the top of a ladder through another ladder in one of the craziest spots you’ll ever see in a WWE ring.

Just in case you haven’t seen it or would like to again, here it is one more time:

Listen to the crowd and appreciate the unbelievable risk Kalisto took with that move because it’s likely to be the highlight of his WWE career.

You’d think that after his performance in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament last month, the increased push of The Lucha Dragons, the insane performance at “TLC” and winning a Slammy Award would give WWE the green light to push Kalisto as a major Latino superstar.

This argument has been made before, but unfortunately, it won’t come to pass because WWE has no plans to push him going forward. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the powers that be in WWE are not planning to do anything significant with Kalisto because he is physically too short for what they’re looking for.

WWE wants someone with the physical build and presence of Alberto Del Rio and the merchandise sales of Rey Mysterio. Kalisto is a classic example of WWE not using a guy for what he is, and trying to deny him superstardom because he doesn’t fit the mold. It’s a damn shame.
