Last month, Cesaro took on Roman Reigns in the semifinals of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament heading into “Survivor Series”. It’s unfortunate that Cesaro lost, but it would also be his last match for some time because he was soon put on the shelf for four to six months.

In an update from that injury, Cesaro has had surgery and is currently recovering to get back into the ring. The Swiss Superman is returning to Birmingham, Alabama early next month to get the latest update from Dr. James Andrews on how his injured shoulder is healing.

According to Wrestlezone.com, Cesaro has been rehabbing the injury at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Over the next few days and with the visit to Dr. Andrews, Cesaro will know a lot more about his shoulder and when is a realistic date for him to return to the ring.

The original belief was a timetable of four to six months of recovery, but that depended on the initial recovery of his shoulder from injury. As of this writing, that is still the belief and would put Cesaro’s return sometime after Wrestlemania and before Summerslam.

Seth Rollins and Randy Orton are due to return at roughly the same time, so WWE is going to get a huge boost next summer and an influx of great talent to the roster.
