Since winning the WWE World Championship from Dean Ambrose at “Backlash,” The Phenomenal One has been leading SmackDown to be highly competitive with Raw.
There is actually a lot of debate among the WWE fans about which brand is better. Not only will bragging rights be decided next weekend at “Survivor Series,” but a lot could change in WWE, but AJ Styles as the WWE Champion is here to stay for some time.
According to a report from Four3Four.com, AJ Styles is expected to hold the WWE title through at least Wrestlemania 33. Of course, plans can always change. It is possible that WWE will book John Cena to dethrone Styles on the grandest stage of them all.
However, that remains unconfirmed. In fact, it’s been rumored recently that AJ could be turning face before Wrestlemania, so we don’t know if Cena vs. Styles will be a strong option for the biggest show the year. If not, Styles could do anything at Wrestlemania.
What we know as of now is Styles will face Dean Ambrose at “TLC” in early December, and it looks like he’ll be retaining the WWE Championship. After that, his role for the “Royal Rumble” and beyond is a total mystery, but he’ll still be holding WWE gold.
Do you think AJ Styles should hold the WWE Championship through Wrestlemania 33?
