AJ Styles and Chris Jericho have emerged as a very solid tag team after a really good rivalry with each other.
Now, they’ve taken that tension, turned it into a mutual respect, and are set to take on The New Day next week on Raw for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
While it’s very unlikely that we’ll be seeing “Y2AJ” win the tag team titles on Raw next week, the feud between these two teams could carry through Wrestlemania Roadblock and climax at Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas.
The only issue with that scenario is Wrestlemania is the perfect place for The New Day to drop the Tag Championship after dominating the tag team division for most of 2015 and into 2016, and there was concern about how much longer Jericho would be on WWE television.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Y2J’s band Fozzy doesn’t have any scheduled tour dates and he has no commitments to the band as of this writing.
In fact, WWE is advertising Chris Jericho for future events after WrestleMania, so it seems that we can expect him to be around for some time after the biggest show of the year, and he may even become a WWE World Tag Team Champion with AJ Styles.
