First of all, AJ Styles has done an outstanding job transitioning to the WWE. Thus far, he’s worked with a variety of opponents, had a marvelous feud with Chris Jericho, and now that feud has turned Jericho and Styles into a very good face tag team.

He’s done very well, but it’s been noticeable that he’s been neglecting his infamous Styles Clash finisher for the Calf Crusher submission. He’s used the Styles Clash, but it hasn’t been used to win many matches, and there is a reason for that.

According to the Wrestling Observer, there has been some talk within WWE by some of their officials that the Styles Clash is a dangerous move. There is some concern and some debate about AJ using the signature move in WWE going forward.

Apparently, Vince McMahon recently found out about the botch with the move that broke the neck of Yoshi Tatsu and was naturally concerned about the move hurting any WWE talents. It’s understandable when you consider that Styles will be working with top talents.

The Calf Crusher is obviously a much safer move and will allow some piece of mind for WWE officials until he everyone can agree on a new non-submission finisher for Styles.

Do you think WWE officials are wrong in banning the Styles Clash?
