A lot has changed this week for WWE programming. Shane McMahon’s return has everyone talking about the possibilities for the future of the WWE television.
Now, that everyone in WWE is waiting to hear more about Shane vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. The WWE Universe is dying to find out who else will be involved in the match.
One such possibility is a big name returning to be a special guest referee for the Hell in a Cell match. Recently, Shawn Michaels has been rumored for such a role at the event, but another name has come up as a possibility.
Stone Cold Steve Austin was asked by Rolling Stone what his role will be for Wrestlemania if he’ll be doing anything at all. You can read and watch what Stone Cold had to say below:
“I think you’ll see me in some capacity. They were talking about doing a podcast there, which is cool. I’d like to do the Hall of Fame, which is also cool. It’s always interesting to see who they’re going to put in. Being there in the ring and in a competitive light, me dawning the trunks? No.
Special referee? Hasn’t been pitched. I don’t think that’d be a great idea. I’m waiting for a pitch. If they pitch something good, then we’ll do it.”
