They’ll have to figure something else out. One of the biggest problems with the Coronavirus has been the travel situation. Just inside the United States, several states are placing certain restrictions on citizens, many of which involve quarantining of people who travel to Coronavirus hot spots. This makes sense, but it can be rather problematic for people who travel a lot, including WWE wrestlers. Things just may have gotten even more complicated.

During the pandemic, WWE has made the rather controversial move of continuing to run their weekly television shows from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This has cut down on some of the travel situations for the company, but the wrestlers themselves, as well as the people who produce the show, have to make it to Orlando every week or two. That was difficult in the first place and now it has gotten even worse.

On June 24, the state of New York announced that anyone traveling from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to a Coronavirus hot spot must quarantine for fourteen days upon return. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had been getting around this by having employees drive to Philadelphia and fly from there to Orlando and then back, meaning they were avoiding the quarantine. According to 6ABC (Philadelphia), Pennsylvania is requesting the same quarantine for its residents, starting on Thursday. There is no word on a penalty if someone defies the quarantine.

Philadelphia has been good to WWE over the years. Check out some of their time in the city:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by this as Florida’s number of cases has exploded in the last few weeks. It isn’t quite shocking to see various states trying to curtail the amount of people bringing the Coronavirus back with them. I’m not sure what this is going to mean for WWE though, as they can either have people not make their tapings every week or two, deal with the potential consequences, or figure out something else. Either way, things continue to stay complicated.

What will WWE do? Will they leave the Performance Center anytime soon? Let us know in the comments below.
