Yes, we will have wrestling in the future. A few years ago, WWE partnered with Scooby-Doo to release a full length animated movie. This was followed by a sequel and a Flintstones WWE themed film. It turns out that the partnership isn’t over and we’ll be seeing a Jetsons WWE themed film at some point in the near future.

The movie, entitled “Robo-Wrestlemania”, is set in the future with Big Show being thawed out of ice and winning a robot wrestling championship.

This causes the Jetsons to go back in time to recruit WWE wrestlers to defeat Big Show and prevent him from taking over the world.

The movie will feature the voice talents of Roman Reigns, Big Show, Alicia Fox, the Usos, Sheamus and Vince McMahon among others.  No release date has been listed.

I am a huge Hanna-Barbera fan and these movies can be a lot of fun if they’re done right. The first Scooby-Doo movie was a blast and the second wasn’t bad but the Flintstones was a big waste of time. You can certainly see more effort in this one, though the wrestlers being used aren’t the strongest in the world. Either way I’ll certainly be checking it out and hoping for the day when we get a WWE/Looney Tunes crossover.

Have you seen any of the WWE animated films? What would you like to see done next in this series? Let us know in the comments below.
