There are no words. If there’s one thing that it’s easy to do, it’s make fun of wrestling. The whole thing is such a crazy world with such over the top characters who are begging to be made fun of. As easy as it is to do that with WWE, they seem to have one of the worst senses of humor ever. This changes things.

WWE has released a four video miniseries called Southpaw Regional Wrestling, a parody of 80s territory wrestling with the WWE roster playing various characters. We have John Cena as a Lance Russell style host and Chris Jericho as an over the top backstage interviewer. I don’t think anything else needs to be said. You can see the whole playlist at this link and the first video below.

Opinion: This just works. It’s a hilarious idea and something that works so well because the people who put it together both know and love what they do. I’m sure some of the old timers who thrived during this period had some input and it probably made things that much better. Check this out if you have the chance.

Southpaw Regional Wrestling is finally unleashed: Southpaw Regional Wrestling - Episode 1
