Tip your hand a little bit. We are coming up on WrestleMania 36, assuming it hasn’t changed yet again in just a few hours. That is the kind of thing that can happen almost all the time these days as this year’s show is one of the most unique that has ever been seen. At this point, the show is scheduled to take place over two nights, and now we know one more important detail about the whole thing.
The idea of splitting WrestleMania into two nights gives me flashbacks to this year’s New Japan Wrestle Kingdom show, which was also a two day event. As a result, the show was a little bit different, but it did continue one tradition: letting you know the order of the matches as the show came on the air. That isn’t something WWE does, but in this case we might have a similar hint.
WWE.com has a preview page for every match currently announced for WrestleMania 36. However, some preview pages list the date of the show as April 4 and some as April 5. While not confirmed, this may suggest which nights the matches will take place on. At the moment, there are seven matches announced, with four listed on Saturday and three listed on Sunday. Here is what is currently listed, which could change as things become more official:
Saturday
WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar(c) vs. Drew McIntyre
NXT Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley(c) vs. Charlotte
Undertaker vs. AJ Styles
Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins
Sunday
Universal Title: Goldberg(c) vs. Roman Reigns
Raw Women’s Title: Becky Lynch(c) vs. Shayna Baszler
The Fiend vs. John Cena
Those are some big cards. Check out some of the more prominent matches announced:
Opinion: Much like everything else going on with the show, I have no idea if this is going to last or not. This year’s WrestleMania has been all over the place and it very well may change all over again tomorrow. I hope not as if the show does not take place this time around, I’m not sure when it will go down. The two night structure makes things a bit more unique and the extra time might help things out a little bit. Now just don’t make the shows five hours each and we’ll be fine.
