That’s a real WrestlemMania possibility. There are a lot of things that can interfere with the wrestling world and in some cases, they are more important than the wrestling itself. Some of these things can affect fans’ health and lives and those are the kinds of things that are going to get a higher level of priority. That may be the case coming up soon, and it could be a big deal for WWE.
I don’t think there’s any secret to the fact that WrestleMania is the biggest wrestling event of the year by a wide margin. It is the grand spectacle of wrestling with fans from all over the world flocking to the event. However, this year is a little bit different due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. The disease is going all around the world and that could play a big factor at WrestleMania.
In a recent interview with the Tampa Bay Times, WWE officials mentioned that they were monitoring the situation with the Coronavirus when it comes to WrestleMania. At the moment there are no plans to cancel WrestleMania, though Stephanie McMahon spoke about there being risks the company is not willing to take when it comes to the health and safety of the fans and wrestlers. Various Japanese promotions, including New Japan Pro Wrestling, have canceled events due to the disease, though nothing in America has been changed as of yet.
We don’t have much time left before WrestleMania. Check out some of the hype:
Opinion: I can’t imagine WrestleMania actually being canceled but the fact that there have even been mentions of such a thing is astounding. It really goes to show you how panicked people are over the disease and there is a good chance that is only going to get worse. The threat is always going to be there for a major event like WrestleMania and hopefully it stays just a threat instead of expanding into something more.
