I guess he’s staying. Last week’s Raw Legends show was a pretty simple concept: have a bunch of legends come back for a reunion and let nostalgia carry the day. That is something that can work almost every time, but the legends are going to be gone the next week. It is rare to see the legends stick around, but that is going to be the case with at least one of them.

There are very few legends on the level of Ric Flair. In addition to being one of the best talkers of all time and having one of the strongest resumes in wrestling history, Flair is also the father of one of the biggest Monday Night Raw stars today. Throw in Flair being a friend of WWE COO Triple H and it is easy to see how Flair can be around almost whenever he wants. That was the case again this week.

This isn’t going to go well. Check out what Flair did this week:

One of the angles coming out of last week’s Monday Night Raw was Ric Flair tripping Charlotte to cost her a tag team match after Lacey Evans flirted with him. During this week’s show, Flair was back and intentionally cost Charlotte a singles match against Evans, who dedicated the match to him. Following the match, Flair and Evans left together, with Evans suggesting that they were sharing a hotel room.

Opinion: Your individual tastes on Flair may vary, but he is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. Flair is someone who is willing to do whatever WWE asks of him and has the status to make it feel more important. I know some fans are not going to be thrilled with seeing him again and again, but at least this is something new for him in recent years, and if it works out, then good for everyone.
