The fresh blood. The rise of AEW has shaken things up in WWE and that is one of the best things that you can see taking place in wrestling. WWE finally has someone who can give them a run for their money, mainly because AEW has money of its own. That means they can lure wrestlers to the company, so WWE is going to have to do the same. They even have some people in mind.
One of the cooler things to take place in wrestling this year was Kenny Omega showing up in Impact Wrestling. It was the closest thing to an invasion that we have seen in a long time between major shows, and it might not be done yet. AEW President Tony Khan hinted at signing away some of the Impact Wrestling talent, and it seems that WWE likes that idea as well.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has its eye on several Impact Wrestling stars and has been trying to find out when their contracts are up in an attempt to sign a few away. There is no word on who WWE is attempting to sign, though Ethan Page and Taya Valkyrie, the husband of John Morrison, are among the contracts who are coming up soon.
WWE has some talented wrestlers on their radar. Check out who they could pick from:
Opinion: This is something that WWE regularly does and I can’t blame them a bit. As long as Impact Wrestling has managed to stick around, they are not on WWE’s level and never really have been. Given how many talented wrestlers they have, it isn’t surprising that WWE would want to try and pick a few of them off if possible. You have to restock the shelves in there somehow and Impact Wrestling is a good place to start.
