A little bonus feature. This Sunday, WWE is bringing Halftime Heat out of mothballs. There aren’t many shows like it and it’s rather cool to see WWE bring it back after all these years. The match featured will be a six man tag made up of the stars of NXT, which should be all you need for a rather good night of wrestling. However, there is going to be a bonus thrown in to make it that much better.
As announced on Jeremy Borash’s Twitter, Shawn Michaels will join Vic Joseph for commentary on Halftime Heat. Joseph is a regular commentator for a variety of WWE shows, which Michaels has been working in NXT for the last several months as something similar to a finishing school teacher. He has also occasionally appeared on television in various roles. Sunday’s match will feature the Velveteen Dream/Aleister Black/Ricochet vs. Adam Cole/Johnny Gargano/Tommaso Ciampa.

Michaels has some experience in NXT. Check him out here in a huge match:
Opinion: I know Michaels might be a generation removed from his prime but he’s still a nice little addition to Halftime Heat. Just let him be out there and talk a bit, which should be more than enough to validate his appearance. Michaels is just funny enough to be entertaining and for something that isn’t likely to go more than twenty minutes, everything will be fine.
