WRESTLING RUMORS: Surprise Name Reportedly “Leading Candidate” To Win Money In The Bank

That would be a game changer. There are certain matches on the WWE calendar that take place every single year at or around the same time. These matches are often designed to jump start a wrestler’s upward momentum in a hurry and that will be the case again next month. Now we have an idea of who might be getting that kind of a boost and you might be surprised.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One For Two? WWE Reportedly Discussing Introducing New Title Belt

According to the Better Wrestling Experience Twitter account by way of Wrestlingnews.co, LA Knight is currently a “leading candidate” to win the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match. This is part of Knight’s push following WrestleMania, which has seen him win his last two televised singles matches. Knight is scheduled for a qualifying match this week on SmackDown against Montez Ford, while Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura have already qualified. Money In The Bank is scheduled for July 1 in London, England.

Opinion: This is something that I could see happening, as WWE has certainly seemed to notice the cheers that Knight has been receiving. Knight is someone who looks and feels like a star but still needs that something to move him up. I’m not sure if he is going to be winning the World Title as a result of the briefcase, but it would certainly be the biggest step he has ever had in his WWE career.
