That would explain a few things. There are all kinds of wrestling storylines, some of which are not seen very often. One of the best ways to make things more interesting is to tie in some real life issues. At times there are pieces of issues that wrestlers have between themselves that make it into a storyline. That was almost the case this week, but one of the wrestlers shut a fan down in a hurry.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured an in-ring interview with CM Punk. During the interview, Punk spoke about his recent foot injury and surgery. However, Punk paused to yell at a fan, including mocking his weight and his bad luck with women. According to Wrestlingnews.co, Punk yells at the fan who was trying to start a Colt Cabana chant. Punk and Cabana have been the focal point of rumors of backstage issues. Cabana was not mentioned or seen on the show.
To anyone who wants to chant Colt Cabana during a CM Punk promo, maybe don't. #AEWDynamitepic.twitter.com/UGtCnLc0vf

Opinion: This makes a but more sense, but Punk’s response still felt like it belonged in another era. Insulting a fan’s weight feels like something that you would hear back in the 80s instead of the 2020s, as well as being out of place for Punk. Then again maybe he was a bit annoyed by what the fan said and it was his gut instinct. It still came out of nowhere and got my attention though, so I guess that’s something?
