Come on back! There are certain names in wrestling who feel like they have been around forever and could go just about anywhere. That can make for some interesting moments as you don’t know when someone is going to pop back up every now and then. That is the case with a certain former executive, who is going to be making another special appearance this week.
AEW’s Chris Jericho appeared on Busted Open Radio and announced that former WCW and Impact wrestling executive will be appearing on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Bischoff will be hosting the celebration of the Inner Circle, which may be coming up on its final match at Double Or Nothing. Should the Inner Circle lose at the show, they will be forced to split up. This week’s AEW Dynamite will air on Friday at 10pm EST due to the NBA Playoffs taking their usual spot.
Bischoff has appeared on AEW programming before, including moderating the Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy debate in 2020 and asking a question at an AEW town hall. There is nothing to suggest that this will be anything more than just another cameo. Bischoff has worked for almost every major wrestling promotion in the last twenty five years, including as the Executive Director for SmackDown in 2020.

Bischoff is a heck of a star. Check out some of his moments on camera:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could be a rather nice addition to the show, as Bischoff is not only a known name but also someone who can command a segment rather well. Bischoff can talk rather well and has enough of a history with Jericho to make something like this work. I’m curious to see how it goes, and as long as this is a cameo instead of a full time situation, it should be fine.
What do you think of the appearance? How will Bischoff do? Let us know in the comments below.
