Wrestler Selling Lucha Libre Themed Coronavirus Masks

Every little bit helps. The entire world has been turned upside down by the spread of the Coronavirus and there does not seem to be much hope as far as things getting better in the near future. While things will get better in the end, the situation is not exactly looking great at the moment. Little things can make the situation a bit easier, and now some wrestlers are doing their part.

One of the major problems with the whole Coronavirus situations is the lack of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers. As a result, it can make checking those potentially infected with the virus that much more dangerous, meaning a diagnosis can be a little more difficult. That is where the wrestling industry can step in, using their own brand of skills.

According to the BBC, Mexican wrestler El Hijo de Soberano is making and selling lucha libre themed face masks for use to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Sobreano has been using the same material that he uses to make wrestling attire, meaning that it is especially sturdy and well put together. The masks sell for about $6 each. This comes as the Coronavirus is spreading throughout Mexico, causing wrestling events to be canceled.

Opinion: This is one of those ideas that is not going to work most of the time but in a situation like this, why not do something to let people have a little fun and keep food on the table? It’s certainly a unique business to go into and if people are willing to buy them, why not see how well it can go? It seems to be working well enough at the moment and if Sobreano can do it well enough, good for him.
