That just doesn’t sound good. With the wrestling world being all screwed up at the moment, the question now becomes what is next. There are a lot things that are not clear at the moment and now those things need to be figured out. Some of them are coming up soon but others are longer term issues. One of those long term issues happens to be about as big as it gets.
Earlier this month, WWE presented WrestleMania 36 in front of an empty Performance Center, making it perhaps the most unique major show in wrestling history. Due to the spread of the Coronavirus, fans were not allowed to be in person for the show and that is the kind of thing that you would never expect to see again. As it turns out though, it might not be that simple.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has indicated that there may be no large gatherings in the city for the next year. This would include WrestleMania 37, which is scheduled to take place on March 27 in Los Angeles. This is not an official announcement or policy and is only something being considered. There is no word on when a decision could be announced.
They already have some plans going. Check out the initial announcement for WrestleMania 37:
Opinion: That sound you hear would be Vince McMahon losing his mind and breaking everything he can get his hands on. We are a long way off from WrestleMania 37 but there is a good chance that the show does not happen, at least not in Los Angeles. This year’s WrestleMania 36 was hardly a raging success and the idea of doing the same thing again would be a near disaster for WWE.
What do you think will wind up happening? What would be WWE’s fallback option? Let us know in the comments below.
