Moving on down? There are all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE payroll, to the point where they have been separated into three different groups. This includes both the two main rosters and the NXT developmental roster. NXT has often been treated as the third brand and you will occasionally see a main roster wrestler appear on the show. Now we are seeing that again with a title involved.

Over the weekend, NXT held a live event in Venice, Florida. During the show, SmackDown’s Shotzi made a surprise appearance, joining Gigi Dolin in a match against Tatum Paxley and NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria. Following the match, Valkyria agreed to defend the title against Shotzi on this coming week’s NXT. Shotzi wrestled for NXT from 2019-2021 before being moved up to the main roster. There is no word on if this will be a one off appearance or a permanent move to NXT.

This should be interesting. Check out who is coming for the title:
Opinion: It’s nice to see something like this every so often and I’m really not sure why WWE doesn’t do it more often. Shotzi isn’t doing anything on SmackDown at the moment so let her go down to NXT and see what she can do for a single night. It gives Valkyria a fresh opponent and maybe it winds up working out well for both of them, as it does show potential.
What do you think of the idea? How will the match go? Let us know in the comments below.
