They have something planned. We are officially on the Road To WrestleMania but there is something else to cover before we get to Philadelphia. Earlier this week, Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes announced that he would be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. This week on SmackDown, it was announced that the men’s Elimination Chamber match would be used to crown a #1 contender for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. A series of qualifying matches began this week, with Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre both qualifying. The remaining qualifying matches will take place next week on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown.
The other qualifying matches will be:
Monday Night Raw
Bobby Lashley vs. Bronson Reed
LA Knight vs. Ivar
Logan Paul vs. Miz
Dominik Mysterio vs. Kevin Owens

Opinion: This was the right way to go as it was fairly clear that there would be a men’s Elimination Chamber match and Rollins did need a challenger. That should make for a good feature match on the show as the lineup has the potential to be stacked. We could be in for a big match at WrestleMania, with McIntyre feeling like a very likely challenger should everything go as seems probable.
