Welcome Back? Ronda Rousey Returning To WWE This Week (Kind Of)

It’s that time of year again. We are less than ten weeks away from WrestleMania 36 and that means things are cranking up in WWE again. A lot of big things are going on and each week can get more interesting than the last. We could be getting a lot of news before then and some of it will involve names coming back for the show. One of those big ones will be in the news this week.

Last year, WrestleMania 35 saw one of the biggest moments in company history as three women headlined the biggest show of the year for the first time ever. What was once considered one of the most impossible ideas ever became something that we were seeing and a lot of that was due to Ronda Rousey. She has been gone ever since, but that might be changing soon.

As announced on WWE.com, Rousey will be a guest on this week’s After The Bell podcast. This will be one of Rousey’s first official WWE appearances since last year’s WrestleMania 35. There is no word on Rousey possibly returning to the ring, though she has never officially retired. The show will also feature Santino Marella and MVP, who returned to the company at last Sunday’s Royal Rumble.

Opinion: Can you blame people for getting excited over Rousey? She brings an aura of legitimacy to the company that no one else can pull off. It’s the kind of thing that you need to have for a major show like WrestleMania and that is something WWE is going to want to have. I’m not sure if she will be back, but you can imagine how excited WWE would be to have her back in the fold.
