He’s back and in a big way. While an injury is one of the worst things that can happen but they do offer a silver lining: the return to the ring, which can either be announced in advance or a complete surprise. The latter is often a better choice as a star making his return can be quite the moment. Sometimes that is the best thing that you can have happen to someone and the fans will react appropriately as a result. That seems to be the case this week and a big star is back.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre made his return and was thrown into a pretty big spot right away. Ric Flair opened the show and announced that McIntyre would be the fifth member of Team Flair to face off with Team Hogan at Crown Jewel on October 31 in Saudi Arabia. McIntyre went on to defeat Team Hogan member Ricochet with the Claymore. This was McIntyre’s first match after a month and a half absence due to an undisclosed medical issue. He was one of the first Draft picks on the SmackDown half of the 2019 Draft.

It was the updated version. Check out McIntyre’s previously most recent match:

Opinion: I’ve been a big fan of McIntyre for a long time now and it would be nice to see him getting a major push. He is one of the best prospects WWE has had in a very long time with absolutely no holes in his game. It’s nice to see WWE realizing this and pushing him in a big spot, but I have no reason to believe that they are going to continue with something like this. McIntyre should be moving into the Universal Title picture sooner rather than later at this point and hopefully that is where he goes after Crown Jewel. I don’t believe that he will, but it is something that needs to happen.

What do you think of McIntyre? Where is he going from here? Let us know in the comments below.
