How Were This Week’s “Raw” Ratings and Audience?

The ratings are under siege as well. Last week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” was highlighted by an invasion from the “Smackdown Live” roster. This was the official kickoff to the “Survivor Series 2017” season, meaning things were about to get bigger in a hurry. So how much staying power did the hot angle have?

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” drew a .94 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.854 million viewers. These numbers are down 9% from last week’s 1.03 ratings and 3% from last week’s 2.953 million viewers. The show was main evented by Alexa Bliss defending the Women’s Title against Mickie James and the return of Braun Strowman.

Opinion: That’s not a good sign. A few weeks ago, the Shield reunion drew a strong rating but the followup went nowhere. That suggests the stories don’t have much staying power, which could get WWE in trouble in the near future. There’s a lot of interesting stuff going on in WWE, but they don’t quite have the ability to keep the momentum that they build from week to week.
