You knew something like this was coming. The world is being shake hard by the Coronavirus and that means that everything is up in the air at the moment. You never know how things are going to go next and that means things are going to get even worse for the time being. The wrestling world has been hurt as well, and now we have the latest casualty.
WWE has so many shows going on at the same time that it’s almost hard to keep track of them all. With so many shows available, there are only so many resources to go around and that can cause a lot of problems. Given the current situation, it would not be surprising to see a lot of changes to these shows, and now one of the bigger hammers that is going to drop has hit.
The WWE on FOX Twitter account has announced that production will be suspended on all FOX studio shows, including WWE Backstage, due to the Coronavirus. The show, hosted by Renee Young and Booker T., with a rotating cast of contributors, debuted in November and aired every Tuesday night on FS1. At the moment, there is nothing to suggest that it will not be back when the threat of the virus has declined.
This is a huge bummer all around. We love doing this show, but of course healthy and safety are number one. See you guys real soon! ?? https://t.co/1w30B7oP3O

It’s not the same thing but it’s close enough. Check out some backstage (not Backstage) moments:
Opinion: You had to know something like this was coming and that’s not a bad thing. Backstage has not been the strongest ratings winner and part of the problem comes from that aside from a small portion, the show could be a podcast with little impact. It wouldn’t shock me if the show never comes back but for now, it’s just another hour of WWE spin, with the occasional good lines, that won’t be there.
