Over the last week, the sports world has basically come to a halt, with many of the major sporting leagues postponing their seasons, or canceling their events altogether. This includes the NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, NCAA, and of course the world of professional wrestling.

According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Tony Khan spoke to the AEW talent and staff at the recent March 11 show in Salt Lake City. He told them that everyone is under no pressure to work next week’s show and that anyone who feels any illness or is stressed about travel, has permission to stay home. Furthermore, he said that nobody will be judged by the decision they make and that nobody will lose their spot or push over it.

Editor’s Opinion:

This is true leadership from Tony Khan. There is a great deal of uncertainty in the world right now, due to this pandemic, and people should not feel any pressure to not come to work if the conditions are not safe. The monetary side of things can be figured out at a later date, but everyone’s health and safety should be the top priority.
