WATCH: WWE Looks At First Time World Title Wins

You have to start somewhere. Wrestling has been built around titles for generations. The concept is rather simple: wrestlers want to win titles to prove that they are the best. As proof, you get a big shiny belt which lets everyone know just how good you are. Those titles have been around for a long time and are still incredibly prominent, to the point where we are coming up on a full pay per view about them. That has WWE looking back into its archives.

There are very few moments as important to a wrestler as their first World Title win. Oftentimes this can mean a changing of the guard with a wrestler becoming the new star of the company. You know some of the more iconic moments and first time World Title wins in WWE history, but that does not mean you don’t need a refresher. WWE is offering just that today.

History has been made. Check out some of WWE’s best title moments:

WWE has released a video showing various wrestlers winning their first World Title. This mainly focuses on more modern wrestlers, with the earliest entry being Rey Mysterio winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22. There are also multiple Women’s Title victories included, along with title changes taking place on both pay per view and Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that I can always go for as there is something cool about seeing WWE open up their massive film vault. That being said, I could have gone for something a little more detailed than this, which is more along the lines of some current stars winning their first World Titles. It can’t be that hard to string together a bunch of clips with nothing new in between, but at least we got the shortened version.
