A new detail. Earlier this month at Money In The Bank, Rey Mysterio won the United States Title for the first time in his long and illustrious career. It was quite the accomplishment for him and showed that he still had a lot going for him. However, it wasn’t the best night in the world for Mysterio as he was injured in a post match attack. It wasn’t clear what was going on, but now we have an update.
In a new video posted to his Instagram page, Mysterio has announced that he separated the AC joint in his left shoulder during the post match attack. This was caused when Samoa Joe slammed him down onto his arm twice in a row, which has badly damaged his range of motion. There is no word on how long Mysterio will be out of action or what will happen to the title.
He goes in depth. Check out a video of Mysterio receiving treatment on his shoulder and talking about the injury:
Opinion: I know I say this a lot, but hopefully Mysterio isn’t too badly injured. It probably has something to do with his size but Mysterio seems to always be getting hurt and there is only so much that you can do for a top star when he can’t stay healthy. He’s also getting older, meaning that his career is a lot closer to being finished than starting. How many more injuries can he handle?
What will happen to the United States Title? What do you want to see Mysterio do when he gets back in the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
