Not many people can do that. There are only a handful of wrestlers who have become WWE Champion. It is one of the most prestigious honors in wrestling and if you have made it onto that list, there is a good chance that you are going to be a star for the rest of your career. If you can get on Vince McMahon’s good side though, you are going to be even better. Now one current star can claim both.
Earlier this year at WrestleMania 36, Drew McIntyre climbed all the way to the top of the company, becoming the new WWE Champion by defeating Brock Lesnar. McIntyre has since gone on to become a two time champion, which suggests that McMahon sees something in him. That is likely the case for several reasons, and now one of those reasons happens to be on tape.
You don’t see this very often. Check out an old school McIntyre moment:
McIntyre was a guest on the most recent episode of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions. During the show, Austin aired a clip from a promo class run by McMahon from McIntyre’s first run in WWE, during which McIntyre said he needed a big finish. McIntyre suggested he was going to throw a water bottle at McMahon, who flinched as a result. This seems to be quite the accomplishment for McIntyre, who bragged about it on Twitter.

Opinion: That is quite the accomplishment for McIntyre, as McMahon would likely be impressed that someone could get that kind of a reaction from him. McMahon is someone who has been around for the better part of ever and has seen almost anything that can be thrown at him. To convince him that he needed to duck is pretty impressive, and it might have something to do with why McIntyre is where he is today.
