Here's What WWE Has Planned For The Royal Rumble

Let’s get ready to rumble! The new year is almost upon us and that means it is time for the Royal Rumble to start taking shape. With so many things to take care of for the show, it is time for WWE to start getting things ready for one of the biggest shows of the year. Since WWE has a few different matches to prepare, it would help to have the card set in advance, but that is only partially the case.

While there are going to be thirty people in each Royal Rumble, there are several other spots to fill in on the Royal Rumble card. There is the chance that some wrestlers could work twice, mainly because there are other prizes to be won. WWE has a lot of time left to fill on the card, but they now have a pair of title matches set, though things might not be in stone.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, aside from the show’s namesake matches, WWE only has two matches planned for the Royal Rumble. The matches planned are Riddle challenging Bobby Lashley for the United States Title and Roman Reigns defending the Universal Title. However, these plans are not set in stone, as Bryan officially entered the Royal Rumble during this week’s SmackDown.

Opinion: I could go for either or both of these matches and we could be in for a rather nice night in January. The Royal Rumble is one of those shows that will always work because of the Rumbles themselves, but the rest of the card can go a long way towards making a good evening. These matches sound promising and if both of them are on the card, WWE has a lot of the work out of the way already.
