It’s long overdue. The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way the wrestling world works and things are still a good distance away from from being back to normal. There are some things that are turning normal again though and hopefully we can see some of those on display during WrestleMania weekend. One of the bigger ideas might be back in a unique way.

There are a lot of honors in WWE and while not all of them are the same, there is one that sums up an entire career: an induction into the Hall of Fame. The WWE Hall of Fame might not be quite the traditional one, it still means something for a wrestler to be inducted. It has been a while since anyone was inducted, but now WWE may have a new plan in mind for next year.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is considering inducting the 2020 Hall of Fame class in 2021 over WrestleMania 37 weekend. The induction would likely be a virtual event as opposed to in person. The class was scheduled to be inducted back in April but the Coronavirus pandemic changed all of the plans. It is not clear if new names will be announced for the class of 2021. WrestleMania 37 is currently scheduled for March 28, 2021.

There are some important names out there. Check out who is going in:

Opinion: This is as good of an idea as WWE has and I can understand the idea of WWE wanting to have some kind of a big moment. The Hall of Fame may have some interesting members, but at the same time it does matter in some way, if nothing else just for the chance of giving the wrestlers the chance to be recognized by the fans and their colleagues. The 2020 class is rather nice and hopefully they get to have a nice night.
