Welcome back. We are on the way to the start of the new year and that means things are going to have to be changed up a bit. Things can be changed up in a hurry and the Royal Rumble alone is going to be enough to draw out some extra wrestlers. You can always go for some former winners, and now one of them will be back, even after a rather odd way to go out.

As usual, the big focal point of this year’s Survivor Series was the Battle For Brand Supremacy, with Monday Night Raw going head to head with SmackDown. The shows faced off in the elimination tag team matches, with the SmackDown men’s team being swept. This was partially due to one wrestler allowing himself to be eliminated, but now he is on his way back.

The return of Seth Rollins was announced during this week’s edition of SmackDown. Rollins will return on the January 1 episode, marking his first appearance since Survivor Series. During the pay per view, Rollins allowed Sheamus to eliminate him from the Survivor Series elimination match with a Brogue Kick, which has yet to be explained in the following weeks. There is no word on what Rollins will be doing on the show.

Opinion: This is a good thing to have going on as Rollins is one of the bigger names on the SmackDown roster and someone who could play a big role going forward. I’m curious to see what he is going to be doing on the show, but with the Royal Rumble about a month away, I’m sure WWE can figure out something with a former winner. Rollins is a star in WWE and that is all he needs to be to get back on his feet in a hurry.
