You have to pay the bills somehow. Wrestling is different all over the world with various countries offering all kinds of different experiences. WWE is the most popular company in the world, but at the same time there are other places that present wrestling very differently. One of these places is Japan, where wrestlers are pretty big stars. Big enough for an entertaining commercial in one instance.
Current WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura recently appeared in a Japanese ad for a noodle company. The commercial will air on Japanese television and features Nakamura doing his signature in-ring poses towards to a woman in a cat costume as a man watches, seemingly jealous of the attention that Nakamura is receiving. Nakamura’s most recent televised match took place on the April 23 episode of SmackDown Live.
Now I want noodles. Check out the commercial:
Opinion: I have no idea how big of a commercial this is but anytime a wrestler gets to do something like this, it’s certainly at least somewhat cool. Nakamura hasn’t exactly taken off in WWE but he was a huge star over in Japan so it makes sense to have him appear in something like this. Hopefully he has some more success in WWE in the near future, as he is certainly talented enough to warrant a chance.
