His opinion matters. While your opinion on him may vary, Vince McMahon is the most powerful person in all of the wrestling world. His sole opinion can determine what happens to anyone in the wrestling industry in the blink of an eye. This can also cause some issues, as McMahon alone can keep something going no matter what anyone else wants and that seems to be the case again now.
One of the surprises on last week’s Season Premiere of SmackDown was Goldberg appearing in the virtual crowd for the main event. Goldberg watched Roman Reigns defending the Universal Title against Braun Strowman, who had defeated Goldberg to win the title at WrestleMania 36. Goldberg has been around the WWE on and off for years and McMahon thinks that’s a good thing.
According to Inside The Ropes, McMahon thinks that there is still value in the Goldberg name and does not care about any negativity that people see in him. Goldberg is expected to continue wrestling for WWE for at least a few more years to come. There is no word on when Goldberg is next scheduled to wrestle a match in WWE. Goldberg is still part of the WWE and is expected to wrestle a match or two a year.
Goldberg can certainly make an impact. Check out what happens when he gets in the ring:
Opinion: I get the idea here and I can appreciate the idea of Goldberg showing up and wrecking people. That being said, I don’t buy that WWE can withstand the urge to throw the World Title on him for a month or so and complete derail everything else going on. That gets annoying in a hurry and for some reason WWE certainly loves to try it. Let Goldberg come in there and do his thing, but keep him away from the titles.
