He is not a normal man. Vince McMahon might be the most unique personality in wrestling history and that is covering an amazing amount of ground. There is almost no one who can match his influence, but even bigger than that, no other wrestling boss has ever been as over the top as McMahon, which can be a good or bad thing. Now we have another story of McMahon just being himself.
As such a major company, WWE has a lot of resources available to it, which can allow them to do all kinds of things. Above all else, at least during regular times, WWE is able to travel around the United States, if not the world, to put on shows everywhere. That takes a lot of effort to put together, but it can be made all the more complicated if you happen to have a madman driving the truck.
Former WWE referee Mike Chioda was interviewed by Wrestlinginc.com and told a story about McMahon deciding that he was going to drive the ring truck one night. After drinking at the hotel bar with various WWE employees in Ridgefield, Ohio, McMahon demanded that Chioda give him the keys. Despite the snow and ice, McMahon drove the truck around the parking lot a few times with various unnamed people inside with him. McMahon did not crash the truck.
Opinion: Does this surprise you in any way? McMahon is the kind of person who gets an idea in his head and then rolls with it, even if it might not be the brightest idea in the world. That’s just how he works and no one is going to stop him if he makes up his mind to do something. McMahon might have slowed down a bit in recent years, but he certainly has a history of doing some rather out there things, just like this one.
