Tis the season? We are less than four days away from the start of the first night of WrestleMania 36. As strange as it is to say something like that, it is a special time of year and something that you cannot recreate at any other point. This year’s will be different, but it’s still WrestleMania and that means things are being cranked up a bit. That is the case leading up to the show as well, and Vince McMahon is doing something about it.
Since there have not been any regular episodes of Monday Night Raw or SmackDown on the way to WrestleMania, things are going to have to be done in a different way. That is the kind of thing that allows WWE to do something else for the sake of building up WrestleMania. This year it has been focused on more intense promos, and it turns out that things have been loosened up a bit.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, McMahon has allowed the wrestlers to loosen up their restrictions on promos, meaning they are allowed a bit more freedom to say what they want. This includes things like AJ Styles and Undertaker using each others’ real names and Edge and Randy Orton’s more intense promos about their families. There is no word on if this will continue after WrestleMania 36 is over.
These have been some awesome promos. Check out some of the recent different interviews:
Opinion: This is something that WWE almost has to do as there is little way around the idea of having something build up the matches. WWE TV is as different as it can be at the moment so letting the wrestlers showcase their talking abilities is as good of an option as they have. It would be nice to see them continue with something like this later on, though I’m not sure how long WWE is going to let this continue, which is a shame.
How have you liked these promos? How long will it continue? Let us know in the comments below.
