It’s a different kind of title. We’re in a weird stretch at the moment as you never can tell how much worse things are going to get. The spread of the Coronavirus has changed the way everything is working and that does not seem to be changing anytime soon. As a result, it is not clear how things are going to go in certain areas, and wrestling is taking notice as a result.

Wrestling is often built around titles. It is rare to have a major story that does not tie into a title in some way or another, which is how wrestling has gone for a very long time now. Wrestlers want to be champion and it is easy to see how they go about trying to win a title. However, different times go for different measures and that is what a well known wrestler has done.

Last week, James Ellsworth appeared for GTS Wrestling and wrestled in a tag team match with toilet paper on the line. Ellsworth teamed with former CZW Tag Team Champion Robbie Illuminati (formerly known as Robbie Mireno) to defeat the Family Jewels and retain the four rolls of toilet paper. Ellsworth and Illuminati wrestled the match with surgical masks on to continue the theme of the match.

This is one where your enjoyment may vary. Check out the rather topical match:

Opinion: This is one of those things that is not going to make a lot of sense in a few months but for now, it is something that fits the news rather well. I’m not sure how funny it was but you can’t blame some people for trying something a little bit different. Fans are going to react to what they saw here, but it is a little hard to watch this given how so few live events are taking place with fans watching these days.
