It isn’t a good sign if you have to ask. Wrestlers are a weird kind of celebrity as they are on television more often than almost anyone else with many of them appearing every single week. At the same time though, wrestling is often considered so far down on the totem pole that a lot of people have no idea who they are. The latter was the case recently, and it made for an interesting situation.
On Saturday, Lacey Evans posted a video to her Twitter account, showing herself getting pulled over for a speeding ticket in Canada. As she is approached by the police officer, she asks if he knows who she is and calls the officer a nasty. She eventually accepts the ticket and says that Canada is terrible. It isn’t clear if this is Evans staying in character or not, though referring to the officer as a nasty would suggest that it was.
That’s a weird place to practice a promo. Check out Evans vs. the officer:
And this one just feels appropriate so have a bonus:
Opinion: The more I think about it, the less sure I am that this is actually in character. Evans seemed to be annoyed at what happened, which tends to be a common occurrence for anyone who gets a speeding ticket. She isn’t exactly doing much on television at the moment, though this likely won’t change much about her status. It’s just a speeding ticket, but I have a feeling this might get her some cheers backstage.
