The numbers are in. We are coming up on the big Wednesday Night Wars and that means NXT and AEW Dynamite are going to be going head to head, which could make for some very fascinating results. However, NXT is getting a two week head start, which will give us a better idea of where they are at the moment. That includes finding out their audience before AEW gets involved.

According to Showbuzz Daily, this week’s episode of NXT drew 1.179 million viewers, putting it at #4 in the 18-49 demographic for the night and drawing a .43 television rating. The audience put it at #19 for overall viewership for Wednesday night. This is the first time that NXT has been featured as a regular show on the USA Network, which has heavily advertised the show.

NXT had a big night. Check out what might be the coolest part of the show:

Opinion: That isn’t too bad of a number, though what matters is where the number is next week and then what it does compared to the following week’s show when AEW is involved. It certainly isn’t a disaster or a big success, but there are definitely people watching the show and if the first show is well received, maybe it can grow a lot more and get up to the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live numbers.

What did you think of this week’s show? How will it do against AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
