Back where it all started. At this point, you know all about the Women’s Revolution. The change in the way the women have been presented has been a culture shock to the wrestling world as WWE is actually presenting a competent, important women’s division. One of the major reasons has been NXT, who started the women’s push in the first place. Therefore, let’s look back at some of its history.
This stuff is important.
WWE has posted a new Top Five video, looking at Groundbreaking Women’s Division Moments. The NXT Women’s Division has been around since the beginning of the promotion and has seen several former Women’s Champions move up to the main roster. Several of these moments were instrumental in turning women’s wrestling into a big deal in WWE and NXT as well.
Opinion: I’ve loved the NXT women’s division for a long time now and it really was a breath of fresh air after all those years of watching the WWE women being treated like nothing. Even when the NXT women’s division was off and running, the WWE women were still running the fourteen woman match at WrestleMania 30. Things have gotten even better since then and hopefully they keep going up.
Which of these is your favorite? What did WWE leave off the list? Let us know in the comments below.
