VIDEO: That’s A Weird Way To Do It: Trish Stratus Teases Dream Match At A Surprising Place

I’d call that a big one. The WWE women’s division, along with women’s wrestling in general, has come a very long way in just a few years. We are less than five years removed from the Women’s Revolution changing the game for women’s wrestling and the sky really has been the limit since then. The change would not have come without some trailblazers though, and one of them might be interested in a dream match.

If you listen to almost any modern female wrestler talking about their inspiration, you will hear the name Trish Stratus brought up. She was the most successful women’s wrestler of the modern era and she has made a few comebacks since her retirement. Even though things have changed a good bit since her time, Stratus has shown that she can still do it in the ring. We might be seeing it again.

Stratus has tweeted out a video with the date March 19 and a picture of herself and Sasha Banks staring each other down in the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble. There is no word on any potential match between the two, but WWE is holding a live event on March 19 in Mobile, Alabama, with Banks scheduled to face Naomi, according to the Mobile Civic Center website. Banks and Stratus had a staredown in the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble but have never had a singles match.

Opinion: This could be interesting, though holding the match at a live event is kind of confusing. Maybe that is just the setup for another match, but I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have the announcement, or match, on television or pay per view. It seems like there is something else going on, but WWE has done some stranger things in the past. Either way, the match should be rather entertaining and that’s the point of something like this.
