Sometimes faces are good and sometimes they’re broken. Despite being something that can be planned out well in advance, wrestling is a violent sport. Every now and then you see something happen that wasn’t planned in advance and that can involve a face being damaged in the process. Some of these are much worse than others and can range from a broken nose to a horribly looking injury with blood everywhere and a ton of help needed. That sounds like something worth looking at to me.

Normally it’s not in the face, but these are all in the face.

7 Superstars who broke their face in the ring: WWE List This!

WWE has released a new List This looking at seven superstars who have suffered some graphic facial injuries. These can result from shots to the face with knees or punches or a heavy metal object being knocked into someone’s face. The list has a variety of choices to look through and some of them are a lot more graphic than others. These do include a high amount of blood in some places and some of the shots of people recovering are disturbing on various levels.

Opinion: I’ve seen all of these before but egads some of them are hard to watch. Joey Mercury’s in particular is cringe inducing but it’s even worse when you look at how banged up his face is after it’s been “fixed”. You never know when something like this is going to happen and no one is immune to any of these things with even John Cena taking a heck of a shot to the face a few years back. These things can be absolutely brutal and some of them are some of the nastiest injuries I’ve ever seen in wrestling.

Which of these is the most brutal? Did WWE forget any major ones? Let us know in the comments below.
