There you are. The spread of the Coronavirus has changed a lot of things about the world of wrestling and one of the biggest in WWE has been the absence of Roman Reigns. Due to a combination of fears about his own health and the health of his family, Reigns has not been seen on WWE TV in over two months and is barely mentioned whatsoever. One of these things has changed.
One of the questions that came with Reigns’ absence was how the company felt about him. It’s true that Reigns is one of the biggest names in WWE but there are a lot of wrestlers braving the virus to come and perform. WWE has said that there are no hard feelings against someone who chooses not to appear, but now we might have a bit better idea of how things are going for Reigns.
Reigns appeared on this week’s edition of the Braxton Beat on Instagram and talked about his absence, saying that he wanted to be there and that he was gone in an effort to protect his family. He mentioned all of the work and time that he had put in to get here to show how much it meant to him. Reigns did not give a timeline on a potential return to either the ring or WWE TV.
It was an interesting interview with a bonus guest. Check out Reigns with David Spade:
Opinion: I know it might not seem like the coolest or bravest thing to do, but there is nothing wrong with what Reigns has decided to do. At the end of the day, his career is secondary to his and his family’s health and there is nothing wrong with sitting out at the moment. I’d like to see him back in the ring soon, but there is only so much that can be done in the current situation.
When are you expecting Reigns back? What should he do when he gets back to WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
