Can you blame Jax? WWE has some interesting takes on what is considered comedy. Sometimes they will find something that really is funny and other times they will beat something into the ground so badly that it loses any positives it might have had in the first place. That can cause things to get pretty old in a hurry and one wrestler already seems to have had her limit.
Last week on Monday Night Raw, Nia Jax missed a legdrop on the apron and landed hard, causing her to shout “MY HOLE” in a rather over the top fashion. Jax’s line received quite the bit of attention, with everyone from a bidet company (offering her an endorsement deal) to Naomi (who remixed it into a song). WWE has barely weighed in on it, but now we might know a bit more about her take.
Can you blame her? Check out Jax’s reaction to various jokes:
Jax was a guest during this week’s edition of Raw Talk, during which host R-Truth gave her a doughnut shaped pillow as a joke. Later in the show, host Charly Caruso said “holey moley”, which sent Jax over the edge. She threw the pillow at R-Truth and walked off the show, as her partner Shayna Baszler looked on. Lana and Naomi had made various hole jokes during Monday Night Raw.
Opinion: This is going to be one of those things that WWE thinks is funny and keeps on hammering it into the ground over and over again while the laughs get weaker and weaker. They do not have the best history when it comes to comedy and this is right up their alley. Hopefully they don’t have something even worse than usual here, but it isn’t a place where I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
