Woo! There are very few wrestlers who have reached the legendary status of Ric Flair. He has been around for the better part of fifty years now and has never stopped being one of the biggest stars of all time. Since his in-ring career ended, Flair has become a bit of a pop culture icon and has appeared on various mainstream platforms. That was the case again on Saturday in a big way.
Flair appeared on Saturday’s edition of College Gameday on ESPN from Atlanta, Georgia for the University of Georgia vs. Notre Dame football game. He was shown with the University of Georgia cheerleaders and wore a red and white robe to show his support for Georgia in the game. Before he became a wrestler, Flair played college football at the University of Minnesota.
It’s always nice to see Naitch. Check out the short cameo:
Opinion: Flair is the kind of guy who can show up and do something like this and have a lot of fun doing it. There is something about watching Flair saying WOO and doing his thing, especially in a place like this. Couple that with the big robe and his legendary status and how can you not get into it? It’s a fun little appearance as Flair continues to be famous despite not wrestling for years.
