That’s as good as it gets. Wrestling is in a weird place in the world of pop culture as people are going go see it as a completely niche spectacle. You can only get so much expansion of the sport, though things have changed a bit with SmackDown moving over to FOX instead of on cable. Some people know a bit about wrestling, but sometimes you see a bigger wrestling fan on a more mainstream stage, which was the case again this week.
It is almost a requirement for a top level wrestler to have some kind of a catchphrase or a pose (or both). You can have something simple and easy to remember and possibly even something that works on a shirt. These are the kind of things that people are going to remember, from the People’s Eyebrow to Hulk Hogan’s hand to his head to Daniel Bryan’s YES Chant and now one of the newer ones was seen by millions.
You might recognize this. Check out how wrestling made its way to a game show:
During Thursday’s edition of the game show Jeopardy, the defending champion Devin Rossiter imitated NXT star Adam Cole’s signature poses, including the finger point. After the game was over, Rossiter sent out a tweet saying that he was still Jeopardy Champion. NXT’s Robert Stone responded to the tweet, saying he would be interested in some form of collaboration. Rossiter replied again, saying that it was a generous offer.
Hey @DevinRossiter !!! We LOVE your twitter account. Would you like to collab??? DM here and one of my #RobertStoneBrand team members will get back to you and organize something special for you!

Opinion: That’s a rather cool moment and something you don’t get to see all that often. NXT has come a long way in the span of just over a year on national television and now it seems to be gaining a little traction. It still has a long way to go though and hopefully Cole is someone we will be seeing more often. He is worth the time and if it gets WWE on a show like Jeopardy, I think the company will agree.
What do you think of Cole? Who would be the most successful wrestler on Jeopardy? Let us know in the comments below.
