It’s a big spot for a big name. We’re in a new wrestling world after the rise of AEW. The new company has allowed so many wrestlers the opportunity to showcase their talents in one place or another. That has made things a lot more interesting around the wrestling landscape. One of the changes has allowed the AEW stars to wrestle else where in the world, which is something that we will be seeing soon.

One of the biggest moments in the history of AEW has been the debut of Jon Moxley. The former Dean Ambrose appeared at the end of Double or Nothing and attacked Kenny Omega, setting up a huge feud between the two of them. The move gave the company a feeling of importance and significance and now Moxley may be doing something else that could make them into a bigger deal.

Moxley returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling to challenge United States Champion Lance Archer to a match for the title at Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January. Archer won the title from Juice Robinson at Kings of Pro Wrestling after Moxley was unable to make his scheduled title defense due to travel issues caused by weather. Moxley wanted a Texas Deathmatch and brawled with Archer, though the title match was not made official.

It was a big moment. Check out how things went down:

Opinion: Moxley is the kind of guy who brings the star power that AEW needs and it is on full display in New Japan as well. It makes a lot of sense for both companies to want him around and it is very cool to see him getting to work in both places. Wrestling in WWE is great, but it is also a bit limiting. Moxley gets to wrestle two different styles in two different places, so maybe we can see more of his potential come to life.
