Update On Aleister Black’s WWE Status

Still on the sidelines. There are so many people on the WWE roster that it is almost impossible to keep track of everyone. At the same time, there are a lot of people who aren’t even making it onto television due to one reason or another. Some of these reasons are a bit more serious than others and now we know what is going on with one of the more puzzling situations.

Sometimes you see a wrestler where you look at them and know you have something special. That is the case with Aleister Black who had a perfect mixture of the lock, the aura and the in-ring abilities. As a result, it was all the more confusing when he was put on the sidelines and has not been back in the ring for months now. It seems that things might be a big worse than it seems.

According to Fightful Select, Black has not been backstage in WWE since November, when WWE released his wife, Zelina Vega. The two sides do not have any specific heat at the moment but Black is being kept away to let bad feelings be set aside. There is currently no word on when Black will return to television. His most recent match came on the October 12 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: It’s pretty hard to imagine that this situation isn’t related to the Vega incident and that is understandable. Naturally Black is going to take his wife’s side in everything and WWE is not going to see it the same way, but hopefully it does not hurt Black’s career in the process. WWE has something with him and it is a shame that he has been on the sidelines for three plus months.
