If you build it, they will come? WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world but they have all kinds of other things going on in addition to just wrestling. Some of those things are directly related to wrestling but WWE has tried their hands at all kinds of other things over the years. Now they might be trying something else, even if it sounds like a bit of an odd idea.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has sent out a fan survey gauging fan interest in adding potential new Performance Centers around the United States. The new venues would serve not only as training facilities but also as tourist attractions, allowing fans to visit and tour them. The potential sites would be in Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville and Tampa, though there is nothing to suggest that they will be opened anytime soon.
Opinion: I’m sure everyone involved with the training at these facilities would be thrilled with such an idea and love everything about having fans wandering around near their training grounds. There is a market for a WWE attraction with memorabilia etc., but I don’t know if I can see that working inside a Performance Center. It is nice to see WWE thinking outside the box a bit, but this is an odd way to go.
What do you think of the idea? How would such a concept work? Let us know in the comments below.
