They did say everywhere. Earlier this month, WWE introduced its newest title with the 24/7 Championship. The idea behind the title is to have it defended at all times with the champion spending a lot of their time running away from a group of challengers. The title has been defended on several shows already, but WWE might have bigger plans for the future.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk of having the title defended on various social media platforms, including YouTube and Instagram. WWE personalities, including non-wrestlers, have been talking about going after the title on Instagram. At the moment, the title has only changed hands on regular television shows, though it was mentioned on this week’s 205 Live.
The title has been defended in some strange places. Check out some title defenses at a barbecue:
Opinion: Is this really a surprise? The 24/7 Title is designed to be a comedy belt and there’s nothing wrong with that. Taking it out of the arena can open up a variety of different scenarios for it and that could make for some entertaining moments. I’m not sure how long it’s going to last, but having R-Truth running around with the title should be fun for a little while.
